The Sierra Leone Coalition for Family Care was founded in 2024, to formalize the collaborative effort between four organizations that have been working together with each other and the Sierra Leone government for many years to make families and children in Sierra Leone stronger, safer, and more resilient.
The Four Founding Organizations welcome other like-minded NGOs to join with them in their efforts to improve the social services networks that are available for children and families in crisis.
The Coalition Founders are all local organizations. The secretariat for the coalition is supported by generous in-kind donations, including a donation to maintain this website for the coalition, but no non-Sierra Leonean organization has authority over the coalition and all decisions, activities and meetings are conducted by the coalition members and their leadership.
The Founding Coalition Members are:
Child Reintegration Centre, UMC SLAC, Bo
Child and Family Permanency Services, Wellington, Freetown
Princess Promise, Bo
World Hope International, Freetown
